Summer’s Here. Who Wants Ice Cream?

Nothing beats a high quality ice cream on a hot day.  Instead of heading out to the grocery to purchase your next frozen treat, make it yourself with this easy recipe!

You don’t even need an ice cream maker.

With just 3 ingredients, you can make this in no time.  You’ll have to wait some hours until it freezes up fully, but I know you can do it!

Why should I make my own ice cream?

Besides the satisfaction of creating something delectable yourself, your health will benefit and so will your wallet!

You get to:

  • Select the quality ingredients that go into your body
  • Avoid nasty chemicals such as preservatives, thickeners, flavorings and artificial colors
  • Save money: the cost to make this treat is far less than designer ice cream.  Plus, you save on gas money since you won’t be driving to the local ice cream shop or grocery to get a fix.

Let’s get to the recipe, already!

Simply Delicious Ice Cream

2 cups heavy cream (whipping cream or heavy whipping cream)

1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk

1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Pour all ingredients into large, deep bowl.  Using an electric mixer, beat until thick, stiff peaks form, approximately 4 – 7 minutes.

Transfer to glass or ceramic loaf pan or other freezer-safe container.  Cover and freeze until firm, at least 8 hours.

Top with fresh berries or chocolate bites of bliss…or both!

Beware, however, this ice cream is rich and addictive.
