About That Tryptophan Nap…
The post Thanksgiving pig-out nap. There are few naps that beat its ease and complete zonk out. I’ve always thought its sudden onset was due to the amino acid tryptophan, found in turkey.
That’s only partly true. I learned a lot more when I watched Katie Couric’s piece on the “nap of naps” in this video.
No matter what the science is, I’m still going to enjoy that peaceful crash on the couch. Please pass the dark meat.
